Overview

Sugba De Boracay Restobar, nestled along the pristine shores of Boracay New Coast Beach Cove 2 in Malay, Aklan, offers an authentic seafood dining experience infused with warmth and local charm. This coastal gem is ideal for groups and families seeking fresh, flavorful seafood dishes served in a relaxed, beachside atmosphere.

The menu excels with classic Filipino seafood highlights such as Buttered Shrimps, Calamares, Clam Soup, and the intriguing Green Lobster. Signature dishes like Grilled Scallops and Sweet Chili Crab stand out for their fresh, well-balanced flavors that capture the essence of island cuisine. Diners often rave about the Fried Lapu Lapu and the comforting Shrimp Sinigang, which showcase the kitchen's skill in elevating traditional favorites.

From the moment you arrive, the inviting space complements the coastal vibe without pretense. The service is notably attentive and friendly, with staff eager to accommodate special requests and ensure a memorable meal. One guest’s experience with the “bilao” set meal — a communal seafood platter — underlines the restaurant’s generosity and adaptive approach, especially when certain seafood items like marlin are unavailable. The addition of extra servings and complimentary baked scallops reflects an earnest commitment to guest satisfaction.

While Sugba De Boracay charges a cooking fee for preparing fresh seafood, many patrons appreciate the flexibility of bringing their own catch to enjoy expertly cooked meals at a more affordable rate. This option resonates well with seasoned travelers and locals alike who seek quality without compromise.

Though it’s worth noting that complimentary service water isn’t standard, bottled water is available, and guests are encouraged to bring their own. This small detail aside, the overall dining experience remains delightful and stress-free.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving expertly grilled seafood infused with local flair, Sugba De Boracay Restobar promises a memorable taste of the Philippines in a serene beachside setting. It’s a haven for seafood lovers, travelers, and groups eager to share good food and genuine hospitality.

group of 8. ordered this "bilao" set meal, i forgot the exact combination/name. plus 2 order of "sinigang na marlin". manager told us marlin was not available at that time, so they ask if it's ok to change it to lapu lapu & talakitok, we said ok, they added a little more to compensate the lacking of marlin and made it into 3 servings of "sinigang" , we really enjoyed it. sarap ng pagkakaluto ng sinigang and baked scallops. the manager also gave us one more round of baked scallops which made us even happier. pictures of the "bilao" will give you a hint how much we enjoyed it.

We were lured here after walking towards Balai and figured it’s almost the same thing and they had female crabs. We have garlic buttered shrimp and crab which was actually good since it was both fresh. Unfortunately they overcooked the shrimp a bit and after a while the garlic butter sauce was a bit “umay” because they seem to also added in sugar. We also had the fish as sinigang and it was also good. The ingredients were already part of the “Cooking Fee”. This place, for some reason, does not serve service water but you can buy bottled water from them. Good thing we brought our own water.

sugba de boracay is a great place to have a meal! the food is delicious! fair warning to the price of the fresh seafood they have, other than buying the fish, crabs, lobsters what have you, you still need to pay for the cooking. my suggestion is to buy your own seafood from elsewhere and bring it there and you can still have it cooked for a better price. but the way they cook the food is worth while! and the staff are welcoming and friendly!
